How NU-CONcept custom marking patterns can go undetected
by even knowledgeable playing card specialists

Luminous marks are undetectable by the naked eye,
even if you know were the marks are.
But, what if someone else has the same filter gimmick?

Non-Creative approach to using NU-CONcept Marking Solution:

In case someone, other than yourself, has a NU-CON cept luminous filter gimmick (i.e. some casinos). When they view playing cards through the gimmick they would also know the value of the card if you simply wrote the name of the card on their backs. In this example, they would see the Ace or Clubs (AC).

While this method to mark cards with NU-CONcept Luminous Solution is fast and easy to read using your "specially gimmicked" sunglasses. You may want to consider using marking patterns which simply may appear as shadows, even if the cards are viewed through a  NU-CONcept gimmick. If you use unusual marking patterns, the other person will not see letters or numbers on the back of the cards. Therefore, they will be convinced that the cards are not marked.

Examples of stealth marking patterns

Luminous & Juice solutions allow you to develop creative marking patterns to avoid detection. The sample below are just some ideas of shading patterns which may be brushed or sprayed on the playing cards. For example, The encoding scheme below only marks high and low cards. Middle cards are not marked, so you know they are in the middle range by default. The NU-CONcept manuscript contains tons of ideas for more deceptive marking patterns. This manuscript is included with each order of solution (jar or marker/pen) or daub.

Examples of "juice style" marking patterns which may be used with Luminous or Juice solutions:

or design your own encoding scheme to avoid any possibility of detection

(Note: Actual shading of patterns when viewed through gimmick is much more subtle than shown above. For a real photo of standard NU - CON cept Marked Cards click here)

Other techniques to avoid detection from "knowledgeable people's" radar using NU-CONcept solutions:

Instead of using large "Juice" geometric marking patterns, as shown above, you can use smaller "Tint work" style marking patterns.

"Tint work" involves small Luminous or Juice marks which can be placed along edges or in corners of the printed area on the back of a card. Since the marks are smaller, they cannot be read from as far a distance as larger marking patterns, but have the advantage of being able to read multiple cards as they are spread on a table or fanned in a person's hand.

"Flash" is an excellent marking strategy to deceive those who know how to read Luminous, large Juice or small Tint work marking patterns. Instead of reading the marks left behind by the Luminous solution or Juice ..... Flash allows you read the areas of the card which were NOT marked. This technique is very effective because most people who know about "Shade" are looking to read darker "Shade" markings (see example above), not lighter "Flash" patterns.

Flash marking patterns tend to work better on blue backed playing cards using "Juice formulated  for blue backed cards".

Unlike darker juice patterns, Flash marked cards using "Juice for blue cards"

appear as lighter areas (see exaggerated light circle in upper left corner of card)

Why would I want to group cards under a single marking pattern ?

By grouping different value cards under a single mark pattern, you will further confuse someone who may already have our NU - CONcept Marked Card gimmick. Even if they notice a geometric pattern on the card, they will have a difficult time matching card values to a pattern, since many cards will have the same pattern.

This will further reinforce the thought that they are only seeing shadows.

Ideas for Grouping cards under a single mark

As you can see, one size does not fit all, use the "customization advantage" by using "NU-CONcept marked card shade solutions" to fly stealth with your own deck for a fraction of the cost of buying, expensive, pre-marked playing cards at $80-$120 per deck. Now that you have the solution, you can chose the marking patterns of your choice and insure that the "shade" may be seen by you in whatever lighting conditions you encounter by varying the amount of "shade" applied to your cards.
